PITMAN--After capturing the NJAC championship and advancing to the finals of the NCAA Tournament Mahwah Regional in 2009, William Paterson University was selected as the 2010 preseason softball favorite in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Pioneers will be seeking their fifth league title since the inception of softball as a NJAC championship sport back in 1983.

PITMAN--After capturing the 2009 NJAC regular season championship and advancing to its third straight NCAA Division III National Championship Series, Kean University has been selected as the 2010 preseason baseball favorite in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Cougars, who finished their 2009 campaign with an overall record of 39-11, are seeking their third conference crown since the inception of the NJAC baseball championship in 1958.

PITMAN--The College of New Jersey’s junior Tom Medvecky and sophomore TJ Burns have been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Men’s Swimming & Diving Swimmer & Diver of the Year respectively for the 2009-10 season. In total 31, NJAC student-athletes earned all-conference recognition in men’s swimming & diving during 2009-10. All NJAC special award selections were determined by a vote of the league’s five head coaches, while the NJAC all-conference selections were based on performances at the Metropolitan Conference Championships held at Rutgers University on February 19-21.

PITMAN—The College of New Jersey junior Margaret Molloy and Rowan University sophomore Samantha Rottkamp have been named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women’s Swimming & Diving Swimmer and Diver of the Year respectively for the 2009-10 season. In total 30, NJAC student-athletes earned all-conference recognition in women’s swimming & diving during 2009-10. All NJAC special award selections were determined by a vote of the league’s five head coaches, while the NJAC all-conference selections were based on performances at the Metropolitan Conference Championships held at Rutgers University on February 19-21.

2.17.2010 | Women's Basketball

UNION--South Division Champion Kean produced a 15-4 second half run to propel the Cougars to a 70-62 victory over North Division Champion William Paterson in the 2009-10 NJAC Women's Basketball Champonship Game. The school-record 26th consecutive victory for Kean gave the Cougars their 13th NJAC crown in program history and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.

WAYNE--North Division Champion William Paterson scored 10 unanswered second half points en route to defeating two-time defending NJAC Champion Richard Stockton, 70-58 in the 2009-10 NJAC Men's Basketball Championship Game. The win gave the Pioneers their 10th NJAC crown in program history and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament.
