EWING, NJ --- The College of New Jersey women's continued its brilliant streak of New Jersey Athletic Conference championships, capturing its 35th with two victories on Saturday.

The Lions (5-0) also continued their unbeaten match streak in NJAC play and the program is now 176-0 in league matches. Both streaks date back to 1982 and the conference title streak is the longest active on record in Division III athletics.

TCNJ sustained its supremacy in the only manner that fits the script - they were perfect on the day. They defeated William Paterson University early in the day by a score of 9-0 and blanked Ramapo College 9-0 later in the afternoon. Against the Pioneers, TCNJ didn't drop a single game. They dominated the Roadrunners in the nightcap, a match that had to be moved indoors due to heavy rains. Contributions to the victories came from up and down the Lions roster.

By winning another conference title, the Lions punched their ticket to the 2018 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship Tournament this spring. TCNJ will continue its fall season next weekend at the ITA Regional Championships hosted by Skidmore College.
